Our Organization

Mental Health Matters of Middle Georgia is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advocating for individuals affected by mental illness. We believe that mental and physical health should be treated with the same urgency and importance. Our team of professionals, advocates, and community leaders works tirelessly to break down the barriers of stigma. We want those living with mental illness to feel supported, understood and empowered to seek help. Whether through direct care, educational outreach, or community collaboration, we are focused on making Middle Georgia a place where mental well-being is prioritized and accessible to all.

Our Purpose in the Community

We are here because we believe everyone deserves compassionate, comprehensive mental health care. This begins with a community committed to access for all. We want to educate and equip first responders as a first step to building this community. We want to expand resources and connect people with the services needed. Ultimately, we want Middle Georgia to be a community where mental health is prioritized and accessible for all citizens.

Here's how we serve our community:

Support access to education, training, and tools that promote mental health awareness and understanding.

Collaborate with community agencies

Build partnerships with local organizations to provide comprehensive support and fill gaps in mental health services.

Support first responders and community leaders

Equip first responders and community leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to address mental health issues effectively.

Advocate for mental health integration

Champion the integration of mental health into the broader health system, advocating for policies that prioritize mental well-being as a key component of overall health.
